Since forming in 2018, the band has carved out a commanding voice in modern bluegrass, fusing deep rooted authenticity with a forward driving energy that feels both timeless and electrifying.

Built on timeless songwriting, refined musicianship, and thoughtful arrangements, Seth Mulder & Midnight Run seamlessly bridge traditional bluegrass, progressive bluegrass, classic country, Americana and folk with ease. Their debut album Traveling Kind (2020) introduced a band grounded in tradition with a clear artistic vision. That vision expanded with In Dreams I Go Back (2022) on Mountain Fever Records, producing fan favorites like “One More Night” and the award winning “My, My, My,” recognized as S.P.B.G.M.A.’s 2023 Song of the Year.

In 2024, the band entered a defining new chapter with their signing to Rebel Records, one of bluegrass music’s most respected labels. Their latest release, Coming On Strong (May 16, 2025), captures a band hitting its stride, confident, high energy, and unmistakably their own. Early singles including “Gilgarry’s Glen,” “Heartbreak Break Express,” “Looking Past the Pain (The Cowboy Song),” and a high octane take on “Johnny B.
